At Weave, Wood and Watson, we have a heritage of working with antique upholstery, so it's no surprise that we make our new furniture in the same way.
Built by hand, each piece is brought to life using the methods of our ancestors.. Each of them is tried and tested for over a century.
The frames are made with seasoned beech glue, screwed and dowelled to our exact design.
Coil springs are hand-tied onto jute webbing to give comfort and support.
Horse and hog hair are applied by craftsmen and hand-stitched into place, followed by layers of cotton and wool. before the calico forming the foundation for the upholstery is fitted and we apply the tailored top covers.
Finally, a varied choice of cushion adds the final comfort to your beautiful piece of furniture. Our end product being something for us to be proud of, leaving you with a perfect antique of the future.
So whether you are taken with the plain cool fabrics of contemporary styles or seduced by the deep, sensual lustre of leather; we can help.
